We are committed to provide each child and student-athlete with the necessary tools, valuable experiences, high quality, unparalleled, progressive and proactive coaching methods and work ethics needed to be successful in life and in their future endeavors, whether intellectual, athletics, personal, financial, social, cultural, and emotional.

Academic and Athletic Priority

York Sports Academy pledges unconditionally to support, promote, and advocate for the fundamental and ultimate role that academics play in the development of each student-athlete’s life.

We pledge to recognize the need for student-athletes’ satisfactory academic performance and classroom behaviour as mandatory as their journey and experience in York Sports Academy athletic programs and training, including our house leagues, community teams and travel teams.

As imperative and mandatory requirement, student-athletes must make an effort to maintain, at the very least, average grades as well as above average classroom behavior in order to continuously enjoy the utmost privileges to play in York Sports Academy house leagues, community teams and travel teams.

Health and Safety First

York Sports Academy’s number one priority is each student-athlete’s safety. With ever increasing injuries that occur in sports of all ages, and as more children and youth are increasingly involved in multi-sports programs, we take extra precautionary measures to keep each child and student-athlete safe, and away from injury.

York Sports Academy coaches teach each child and student-athlete about proper equipment, proper techniques, proper dietary, proper positive lifestyle-driven attitude, respect, self-discipline, bully prevention, and abuse prevention measures on and off sports practices, games, events and activities.

We are proud to help make sports and athletics better, safer and more enjoyable for children, youth and student-athletes through our training and resources available to parents and guardians, coaches and trainers, as well as children, youth and student-athletes.

Student-Athletes Well-Being

Sports and athletic education and awareness for children, students, coaches and parents emphasising on prevention, recognition and treatment are the first steps to help protect children, youth and student-athletes’ well-being.

  • Our coaches and trainers are fully trained, educated and knowledgeable to look for and pay duly attention to safety, preventive measures and symptoms recognition.
  • We facilitate seminars and workshops to parents/guardians in order to assist with proactive, preventive and reactive measures, signs and symptoms recognition of injuries and necessary procedures.
  • Our programs are complemented and implemented with well-coordinated sports and athletic models [physiology, psychology and nutrition] in order to maximize each student-athlete’s personal well-being, performance and success.
  • Our year-round student-athletes benefit from certified specialist in sports dietetics to work with each student-athlete and his/her parents/guardians to design meal plans, as well as to help with energy and recovery, food quality education and recommendation. Furthermore, sport psychology assessment tests are given to gain insight on our student-athletes’ personality and mental skills.

Student-Athlete Development

York Sports Academy is unmatched in fostering year-round fundamental, physical, strength, speed, agility, mental, emotional, intellectual, and decision making skills, which are imperative means to hearten each student-athlete’s love, passion and success of her/his chosen path, sports journey, career, and life achievements.

Our programs are designed to develop and craft complete and wholesome athletes with good character and sportsmanship or sportswomanship attitude.

York Sports Academy workouts, practices, league and team programs are strategically designed to teach full set of skills to every student-athlete regardless of size or ability.

In our development and discovery athletics programs, teams are built and champions are made around a “position-less training” model. Instead of teaching our student-athletes to play specific positions, we teach them first to embrace the sport(s) of their choice from every aspect; then, zero in on their preferred position(s) for greatness.

Highest Level of Exposure and Competition

York Sports Academy provides children, youth and student-athletes the experience of competing at the highest and the utmost competitive local, regional, provincial, national and/or international levels, while having fun, building camaraderie and lifelong friendship.

  • We offer and facilitate the best platforms for students-athletes to be exposed to the best coaches, trainers, sports agents, Canadian and USA colleges and universities for potential scholarships and bursaries.
  • We prepare each student-athlete for the highest level of competitions, individuality, independence, co-dependence, and teamwork attitude as well as team effort aptitude.
